ABOUT ME
Welcome! I'm Christina Mora Dettman, a south Florida native, living in Louisville, Kentucky. I’m a fast-talking, go-getting, high-energy hustler who loves connecting with people. (But also mentally and physically exhausted from managing a household of seven people.) After more than 15 years as a TV news reporter and anchor, I left the business, began fostering two young boys, and traveled to Malawi twice to adopt our girls. Now I'm sharing our crazy life, in hopes of helping others navigate infertility, adoption, and fostering.
Since leaving the news business, I’ve freelanced at WLKY in Louisville, mostly turning stories about foster care and adoption. I help with Wednesday’s Child, an organization that serves children in foster care. And I spent more than a year putting together a documentary on Kentucky’s child welfare system.
And because things were too calm and quiet, after adopting all four of our big kids, we welcomed our sweet baby girl (through IVF).
